The 9 tooth cog lets you step down one chainring size while keeping the same top end gearing and provides not only better ground clearance, but an overall lighter drivetrain.
A 9-tooth small cogs and a 50-tooth large cog give a class leading 556% gear range.
What really impressed me about this cassette was it’s weight – coming in at only 345g, it’s a LOT lighter than some other 12-speed cassettes out there.
When this cassette does start to wear, you also have the option of replacing separate gear clusters and not the entire cassette, which can save you some cash.
