In August 2011, we founded a NPO called Build-a-Bike SA. The mission of this initiative is to provide free bicycles to underprivileged and low-income members of our local community.
During the course of this project so far, we have built and repaired countless wheels, all of which are still in reliable service.
Hence we have decided to offer a professional wheel-building and repair service. Hand built wheels done right are inherently stronger and more reliable than mass-produced, cost-cutting OEM wheels found on many of today’s bikes and are typically one of the first upgrades cyclists make to their bikes.
