Allow me to introduce Endō.
I have been working on this brand for over a year and this is the unofficial launch announcement.
Endō is a Japanese philosophy meaning “the far journey” or “the distant path”. These components and wheels are engineered to provide the rider with a high performance, worry-free riding experience.
Ultimately the brand will comprise of complete mountain, road and gravel wheelsets, as well as hubs and rims that will be available separately. This email is to let you know about the mountain bike hubs which are available for order now.
Stock is limited, but you can order any configuration and the hubs will ship within a 2-3 weeks.

Why another hub brand?
Great question, but there’s a very good reason.
South Africa does not currently have a premium hub brand which offers lightweight, high quality straightpull boost hubs for mountain bikes in the premium segement. Until now.
They are available in centerlock or 6-bolt, and with Shimano 11s HG, 12s microspline or SRAM xD driver, to suit any bike, any brake system and any drivetrain.
How do they compare?
Let’s compare apples with apples.
The Endō Nagare hubs compare well with the DT Swiss 350, 240 and 180 range of hubs in terms of specification, and blow them out of the water on price.
They all feature the proven star-ratchet freehub mechanism, available in 36t or 54t, and in centerlock or 6-bolt configuration.
| Endō Nagare | DT 350 | DT 240 | DT 180 | |
| Weight | 316g | 365g | 312g | 288g |
| Price | R6 995 | R8k+ | R12k+ | R20k+ |
As a custom wheel builder, I have been using and testing these hubs in unbranded fashion for over 2 years and I’m completely satisfied with their durability and quality – confident enough that you’ll have an impeccable ownership experience.

These hubs are available in 28-spoke and boost-only configuration.
They can be laced to any 28h rims of your choice.
