Most new bikes come with wheels which leave quite a bit to be desired.
It’s no surprise really, as it’s an easy place for OEM’s to save money, and good wheels don’t come cheap.
When these wheels came to me, off a brand new bike, they had skinny 21mm wide rims – and the rider needed something more substantial.
For his 90kg weight and aggressive riding style, I recommended he swap them out for these Spank Oozy Trail 345 rims, laced up with double butted spokes and tensioned to perfection.
These wheels should last longer than his bike!
