ED-GE hub

Not everyone needs or wants super-fancy, famous-brand components.
All we need is reliability, durability, affordability and ease of maintenance.

There’s a new kid on the block when it comes to hubs… the brand is called ED-GE, distributed by Orim Global, who are South African agents for Pillar, Ritchey, Goodyear, Magura, Time and more.

Made in Taiwan, the hubs are very nicely finished, have exceptionally good seals and use proven freehub mechanisms.

The hubs are available in BOOST (32h) or non-BOOST (28 / 32h) widths, and in all 3 freehub options (Shimano 10/11 speed, Shimano 12-speed microspline and SRAM xD driver)

The BOOST hubs are focused on MTB, and the non-boost are well-suited for gravel bike wheels.
All versions have a 6-bolt brake rotor interface.

The BOOST hubs are available with either a 6-pawl, high-engagement freehub (gloss anodized black hub shell), or a DT-Swiss style star ratchet freehub mechanism (satin black hub shell).

The non-BOOST hubs come with a 4-pawl freehub and sleek anodized hub shell.

The hubs are available now for use in all custom wheel builds.

Suggested retail pricing is as follows: (but is subject to change)

  • Non-boost hub set (anodized, 4-pawl): R3,495.00
  • BOOST hub set (anodized, 6-pawl): R3,895
  • BOOST hub set (satin, star-ratchet): R 5,495.00
