These days we’re spoiled for choice when it comes to selection.
Here’s a run-down of the available sealants that you can buy from Wheelbuilder, in alphabetical order.
First, I’ll list them (linked to the manufacturer website), then explore each one in more detail.
I’ve worked out what the least expensive option is, if you buy each one in it’s largest available option, and listed the “bulk price per liter”, which indicates value-for-money.
Prices are accurate at time of writing (August 2023) and are subject to change without notice.
Everyone has their own preference but I’m convinced there’s minimal difference in performance between most options. Stan’s Race sealant is most aggressive and will ultimately seal the largest punctures in this list.
I currently use the VeloEdge in my workshop and in my own tyres, as it’s least expensive. I am going to try the JuiceLubes in my tyres next, as I have been given a sample to try.

It’s water-washable, ammonia-free and seals holes up to 7mm, according to the manufacturer.

The most powerful sealing action and seals the largest punctures. Can NOT be injected through the valve and must be poured directly into the tyre.
