Description
Wheel assembly, per wheel.
Always by hand – always with care and precision.
During the wheel assembly process, here are the steps that are followed, without deviation, to ensure that your wheels stay true, perform as designed, last as long as possible and reach you in the best possible condition:
- Correct spoke selection to match the intended use.
- Meticulous spoke length calculation to ensure the optimum length of spokes are sourced and used.
- Quality control – visual inspection of each component before the build starts – any parts that show defects or abnormalities are replaced before assembly starts.
- Spoke lacing according to best practices.
- Spoke tensioning, radial and lateral wheel truing – this ensures the spokes are optimally and equally tensioned, tensions are balanced and the rim is laterally true (no wobbles) and radially true (round, not egg-shaped)
- Wheel “dish” is checked and adjusted, ensuring the rim is centered over the hub ends.
- Once the wheel is deemed perfectly assembled, rim tape is applied and if required, tubeless valves are installed.
- Wheels are carefully packaged to avoid damage during delivery.
- Courier collection is booked, and waybill number shared with customer.
